COVID-19 Risk Management Statement
During this extremely difficult time we would like to thank you all for your support. We have introduced new measures in line with government guidelines to ensure our usual high standards of hygiene are enhanced to reduce the possibility of the risks of a COVID-19 infection. These will be updated as appropriate.
Please do not travel if you feel unwell for any reason. Where possible our guests will be contacted to make sure they are happy to comply with the ‘new normal’ and that they are fit and well.
Guests will not need to sign a registration card but any missing details which we may need can be relayed to us & filled in by ourselves. Payment can still be made by cash or card. The card-reader will be sanitised for you and after each use. Keys will be sanitised and left in your room. We will not take guests to their noom unless necessary or if help with luggage is required. In such instances, handles of luggage will then be sanitised.
Within our Guest house
70 percent alcohol gel is at key points for guests to use regularly and hand washing is advised on re-entry to Kings Lodge.
Please apply social distancing to the correct distance from other parties
Only one rooms occupants to be on the stairs at any time. No passing on the stairs.
In the hallway there are passing points.
Only use seating in the garden and conservatory that is the correct distance from others. Some seats may have signage to prevent use.
Hand sanitiser is to be used before entry. This is next to the door.
You will be allocated a table at the beginning of your stay and we request that you keep to this system.
All items will be served directly to your table by a member of staff wearing P.P.E and having washed their hands prior to serving.
Our buffet selection will be available on request [juices, toast, yogurts, fruit, cereal etc.]
On departure this table and chairs will be fully sanitised including salt/pepper shakers and wipeable menus.
Enhanced cleaning will take place each day to ensure that high touch points like banisters, switches and handles are sanitised regularly.
Your room will not be entered unless at a changeover point. For stays longer than a week bedding will be changed every 5 days.
If you require additional items like toilet rolls, towels or tea tray items please let a member of staff know.
A bag will be in your room to put dirty towels in which can be tied and left outside of your room.
Our linen all goes to a professional company which is compliant with Covid-19 rules. It is returned in sealed bags.
Some decorative items, cushions and soft furnishings have been removed from the rooms to reduce risk.
Your room will undergo a deep clean, including but not restricted to sanitising curtains, carpets, bed frames and head boards as well as doors, drawers, switches, bins, remote controls, hangers, handles, mirrors, seating, T.V, lamps, hairdryer, crockery and a full bathroom clean.
If you become unwell
You will be required to let us know and to go straight home.
If you have difficulty breathing or a high temperature and cannot travel, stay in your room, inform a member of staff by phone and seek medical advice immediately.
We will follow all the necessary guidelines at that time.
In the event of an emergency/fire you must still evacuate the building but stay away from others at the assembly point.
We hope that you can book with confidence in our personal strategies to reduce the Covid-19 risk. As there are only two/three of us doing the cleaning we know that it is being done properly.
Our priority is for you to still be able to have an enjoyable but safe holiday with us.
